Halimatu is a Prudent Banker and a Human Resource Practitioner with over 31 years of experience in both the finance and human resource sectors. She holds an MBA in finance, a Bachelor of Management Studies, and she is a Chartered Human Resource Practitioner. Torto has worked with numerous banks and agencies, including Ajumako Enyan Esiam District, where she served for her National Service. She then worked with the administration of DHV International (UK) LTD and is currently with the ARB Apex Bank PLC. Over the years, she has worked as a Learning and Development Manager, the Head of Customer Service Unit, and as a manager for business development and collaborations.

 

She later worked as a Branch manager at the Head Office of the Bank and during the time periods of February 2014 and August 2015, she worked as both the Risk and Operations Manager. She was once the Research and Marketing Department Officer to forge strategic partnerships with external agencies to introduce rural banking concepts to banks from the sub-regions Sierra Leone, Uganda, and Kenya. She was also a monitoring and evaluation manager within the periods of June 2004 and August 2008. Additionally, she also worked as an Administrative Officer from September 1999 to September 2001. Furthermore, she also gained intermittent on-the-job training from the year 1994 to 1998.
