Hamid is a seasoned translator, interpreter, and conference management specialist with over 59 years of insightful experience. He attained his Proficiency in translation and Interpretation degree in the American University in Cairo, Egypt (1970-1972), a B. A degree in Language Translation & Islamic Studies (1966-1972). He later offered a course in Library Science at the University of Ghana, Legon, and an Intensive French Certificate Course also at the Paul Valery III University, Montpellier.
He is currently the founder of Al-Fattahu Foundation for Youth and Girl-Child Education, which was established in the year 2023, a member of the Bilal Islamic Center, Lapaz Accra, and a proprietor and Managing Director of Africana Guest House, North Legon Accra. He is also the proprietor and Managing Director of West African Resource Network of Arabic Translators and Interpreters (WARNATI). He is also the head of the Conference Management within the Operational Support Team (AFCFTA), Accra.
Ibrahim also worked as an International Civil Servant OAU (now Africa Union) Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, an International Civil as a contract worker with the Directorate of Conference Management and Publications Africa Union Servant, and OAU (now African Union) Coordinating Committee for the Liberalization of Africa (AFLICO), Dares Salaam, Tanzania. He was a temporary staff at the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia, Accra, Ghana. Additionally, he was an assistant librarian (Arabic Section) at the Balme Library and an Imam at the University of Ghana, Legon. He also tutored Arabic at the Ghana Institute of Languages, Accra.
