Marufatu Essie Braimah

Chief Superintendent Marufatu Esie Braimah (Rtd.) is a distinguished nurse, midwife, and public health professional with over three decades of service in healthcare and law enforcement. She holds a Master of Arts in Community Development from Wisconsin International University College, a Master of Public Health from the University of Ghana, and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with Psychology from the same institution.

Throughout her career, she held key leadership roles, including Director of Nursing Services and Deputy Director of Nursing Services at the Ghana Police Hospital, Accra. She also represented Ghana in international peacekeeping missions with the United Nations (UNMIL, Liberia) and the African Union (AMIS, Sudan).

Chief Supt. Braimah has received several honors for her outstanding service, including awards from the Ghana Police Service, GRNMA, GRMA, and the University of Ghana School of Nursing.

Now retired, she remains a respected figure in nursing, midwifery, and community development, celebrated for her leadership, advocacy, and dedication to excellence in service.
